Detail

A very popular ornamental plant native to India, it can, in its natural habitat, grow as high as 100 feet. Indoors, however, it is generally kept to approximately 8 feet tall. When small, the plant makes an attractive centerpiece; by the time it reaches tree status, it will look spectacular in any doorway or corner safe from cold drafts and out of direct sunlight. Once the plant has grown to the desired height, simply trim off the top. Take care not to over-water, and water only when the soil is dry to the touch. Good drainage is essential. Renew the soil every year, repot every year while plant is young, and then every 3 years. Thick, shiny rubbery leaves have a white variegated pattern and red-pink undertones and can grow up to 8-12 inches long and 4 inches wide. Plants are wonderful air purifiers, but pets beware: rubber plants are toxic to cats and dogs. #EasyCare
